We all know it as Secondhand Smoke (SHS), Involuntary Smoking, Passive Smoke, Sidestream Smoke, or Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS). The term that the tobacco industry refuses to use is Tobacco Smoke Pollution.

Secondhand Smoke is a killer. It causes 4,000 non-smokers a year to die of lung cancer...40,000 die from smoke-induced heart disease.

Passive smoking is a substantial public health hazard.

Recent evidence strengthens earlier estimates
of the size of the health risk.

This is a controllable and preventable form of indoor air pollution.
